Onwards to Germany

Today, we left our friends in the Netherlands and headed out (in our lovely Mercedes!) to Germany. Our goal for the day was Ettenheim, just in the beginning of the Black Forest area. ARTEK violinist Theresa Salomon has connections here, and had arranged for us to see a Silbermann organ in Ettenheimmuenster, the next village. By late afternoon, after MUCH slow driving for traffic and roadworks, we reached our goal. Here's a few pictures of thee church and organ:

After, a German dinner with Alsatian specialties, window-shopping, and a walk around the totally charming country village of Ettenheim.
